FERBANK IS AN
IB WORLD SCHOOL
As an IB World School, Fernbank Elementary joins over 4,700 schools worldwide in delivering IB programmes, and is part of a community of educators that is growing and developing constantly.

The IB's unique implementation is strengthened through the relationships with schools, governments, and international organizations globally.

IB aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

Fernbank Garden
The Fernbank PTA Garden Committee had a busy year! Volunteers met for 8+ weekend workdays to keep up with regular garden maintenance, including weeding, pruning, and mulching. They replaced and installed three raised garden beds and replaced mulch surrounding the raised beds.
​
Becky Johnson and Cary Rouse, the Garden Committee Co-Chairs, led two planting events this past year (Fall and Spring) with participating classrooms. A record-breaking 29 classes planted vegetables in the Fall and a whopping 25 classes planted herbs and pollinator-friendly flowers in the Spring. The amazing students in 5th Grade Patrol kept the garden watered throughout the year.
