Fernbank Garden
The Fernbank PTA Garden Committee had a busy year! Volunteers met for 8+ weekend workdays to keep up with regular garden maintenance, including weeding, pruning, and mulching. They replaced and installed three raised garden beds and replaced mulch surrounding the raised beds.
Becky Johnson and Cary Rouse, the Garden Committee Co-Chairs, led two planting events this past year (Fall and Spring) with participating classrooms. A record-breaking 29 classes planted vegetables in the Fall and a whopping 25 classes planted herbs and pollinator-friendly flowers in the Spring. The amazing students in 5th Grade Patrol kept the garden watered throughout the year.

Fernies! We're so excited to kick off the new school year with you! Open House is your chance to meet your teacher, collect your preordered school supply packs, explore After School Clubs (online registration on Saturday, August 22nd), and purchase your new Fernwear (t-shirts, sweatshirts, bags, etc.). Cheers or Tears Coffee
for Parents - 8/3
We know the first day of school can be hard for kids and parents alike... or maybe your child has been waiting for this day all summer? Either way, join us for coffee at drop-off on Monday, August 3rd (first day of school) beginning at 7am. Parents are able to walk their child to their classroom on the first day only. Stop by and grab a cup of coffee on your way out!

Registration - 8/22
Registration for Fall Clubs will be on a first come, first served basis, so be sure to set your alarm! We will send the club registration links out via The FLASH on Saturday, August 22nd at 9am, so make sure you are subscribed.
